Download Videos, Television Shows, & Movies Directly To Your BlackBerry

This website was created for iPhone users, but I found the videos run fine on my 9700 and a co-worker's 8520: http://iphonetvshows.net/blog/server-web-hosting-2/. I was able to download material directly to my BlackBerry using Opera Mini. No converting, no nothing--and quite a variety.

Do I not have sufficient privileges to post links? I suppose those interested could paste the address within the BlackBerry Browser.

Dam! I tried this and got my usual "too large" error code. It could be my whimpy 8330.

Sunkast: Thanks for correcting that--it was making me twitch.

TheOnlyJrod: I'm honored. I'm merely passing along the message.

Rounsy: You're welcome. Hope you find something you like.

Bitpartdemon: Have you tried downloading smaller files? For example, the episodes of Futurama are broken into 2 parts. I cannot say that I have attempted to download a full length movie. The largest OTA file I've ever downloaded is 83 MB on my 9700. On my 8310, around 40 MB. Let me know if any of it works for you.

It is not legal to download any type of media that you have not previously purchased.

Locutus: I'm not saying that I support the piracy of movies. I do not, however, see the harm in downloading a television show. I suppose I should say use the site at your own risk.

Neolantis: If I am breaking any rules by posting this, feel free to delete this thread. I'm sorry. If you are protecting the site, I understand that, too. The point is, I like this place quite a bit and don't wish to be banned. Glad this place finally went mobile as I find myself browsing via my BlackBerry more often than not. Anyway, I'm merely providing information, sharing my knowledge. I know we are all treading a fine line when it comes to issues concerning copyrights, such as with movies, music, and leaked software.

Well i got one step further anyway! It started to load the Futurama episode part but then when it went to play it, it told me that it was an unsupported format.

You don't by chance have your Media Card set to encrypt, do you? That might create issues. Check the file extension--make sure it doesn't have .rem on the end of it. I'm thinking the video *should* play. I know my 8310 supported mp4 files, so I'm figuring your 8330 should, too. I believe my co-worker's 8520 has the same resolution as yours, so I don't think that could be an issue. Keep me posted on your progress--this issue is bugging me!

I checked the encryption it is off. How do I check the extension of the files? I also know that running youtube vids only works sometimes.

Media > Menu > Explore. Click on the folders until you find the file you need.

You know, once a friend sent me a video (albeit short) and I got the unsupported message, too. I knew darn well the OS supported 3gp, so it nagged at me. Something told me to e-mail it to myself. And it worked. Unfortunately, Futurama may be too large for this procedure to work.

Okay so here's where I'm at with this. I tried to just open directly, error won't play. I downloaded, yes they are Mp4's, and bang! Error won't play the segments. No clue what's up. It could be like mentioned before just the OS I'm running 4.7. I will for sure keep this site in mind for my upgraded BB.

Hmmm. My co-worker is running OS 4.6 on his 8520. It's been a few weeks since I've downloaded any videos. I'll try again. Maybe it's the video--not you (or your Berry, rather).
