Thread: Possible new Storm2

I have 4 phones on a family plan. My daughter and I have a Storm and my wife has a regular flip phone. The fourth phone is for another family member. My wife is up for a new phone but she doesn't want one because she likes the phone she has and it was replaced by insurance a couple months ago. She doesn't like the all bells and whistles that comes with the BB's. My question is: Can I get a new Storm2 under her upgrade with my number and her not having to get a data plan? That way I can sell my Storm and make up the cost I have to pay for the new one. Does this sound possible?

Yes you can just have them use her new every 2 and roll the new phone to your line that's how i do mine..

OK Thanks, I'll give it a shot. Sure hope it works.

My wife and mother-in-law think that BBs are too complicated and are happy with their phones. When I want the latest/greatest, I just use their upgrade for my line.

you can def use any line that has an upgrade available to get a phone, and the can set the phone up on any line. Case and point, I used my dads upgrade to change my phone from Windows xv6800 to the S1, and yesterday I used my sister's upgrade to change my phone from the S1 to S2. Just let the VZW rep know who's line is eligible for the upgrade and who's line the phone is gonna b used on. THey do it all the time.

Yes you can ..Its called "alternate upgrade". You will however have to get data on the device. VZW pdas and smartphones must have data upon purchase

As I stated, I already have a Storm1. I have a data plan on this phone.

My brother has done this 3 times with his, his wifes, and his Mother in laws line. They are all on the same plan. I do know that it works.
You would continue to use the same data plan you had for the Storm 1, except you would have the new Storm 2 device.
