Thread: Verizon VIP Program

Did anybody else get the congratulations booklet and VIP card from VZW.
Says i'm automatically enrolled in their new VIP program, $50 off new phone every year... yes every year with a 2 year renewal, 25% off accessories, an auto text if i'm getting close to going over my minutes, free activation free phone book transfers free phone number changes. no restock fees.
I guess its an interesting way to keep customers.

They probably realize that the storm users are getting pissed off and about to go elsewhere so this is their way of trying to keep you around.

What minute package do you have? Sounds like the Merits program they used to have. You needed to be on a $79. or greater plan (non-blackberry) I'll bet its something similar.

Yep, I've been getting a packet about every 2 years. A lot of time the specials that VZE runs are better then the VIP membership program. The most I've used it for is buying accessories.

i have had the VIP program for verizon like 2 years + now. on top of the 18% discount for the JOB the VIP is pretty cool they just called last week and asked if i wanted free phones etc i told them i have a storm right now but i take the 9630 when it comes out. accessories come with a nice discount also now if they would leak some OS for the VIP i would be F ING thrilled. Of course i would have to share with The BBOS community

2100 minutes, 4 phones (1 bberry mine) unlimited text... blah blah blah.
Been with them from the begining in St. Louis. I think it was either Ameritech or Cybertel before. I have been getting the 25% off for about a year on accessories, but what i thought was interesting was new phone every year upgrade. S**t no need for insurance now if i only have to make it last a year

I used to be on the 2100 minutes plan, but dropped down to 1400 minutes. I have 3 phones on my account with unlimited text too.... I've been with Verizon for nearly 3 years now. I've been VIP for almost a year now, but with my corporate discount have had 25% off accessories since the beginning. I only get a 15% discount off the main line- which is mine. For the others, I pay full price for the additional 2 phones.
