HMm interesting.. Morning Me...wondering if this is a bug of the 5.0 os or a feature of the BIS system for 5.0...maybe automatic PRL updates through push?
It happens on BBCM 8.5 as well....I don't think it has anything to do with the OS. Mine remained unchanged; 51540 to 51540.
Anyone wanting to know the latest update for Alltel, Sprint, US Cellular and VZW.can try The Roaming Zone PRL Page at:
The Roaming Zone-PRL Page
It will give you the latest PRL numbers/date change logs, etc. Please note that for VZW, all the PRLs discussed in this thread are correct. You may have one of several numbers recently issued on September 3.
Verizon issues several PRL's with each revision, and the one you receive depends on your plan, phone model and location. The order of roaming partners among all PRL's issued on the same date is virtually identical.
Sept. 3, 2009 (includes 51540 - 51567)
51567 Nationwide/AC II EV-DO
=---different prl's are released for different devices, service plans and other criteria.

Sorry missed that "0" thing but I also note that they got it back to 51540. Could be a delay after the reboot.

lol your are reading what we are saying wrong.. forget the 51540...when these people perform a batter pull their PRL will read 0, when they dial *228 option 2 it then changes to the current PRL, but then do another battery pull and its back to 0 so what we were saying is if it resets to 0 everytime you do a battery pull is the new BIS software going to keep your device up to date on the prl instead of having to dial *228, and yes it is os related as I am on one os and my PRL does not reset to 0 everytime I do a battery pull... do you get what we are saying? has nothing to do with 51540 or any other actual PRL..![]()
Thanks toytooii.
That is some good info.
Guess we need to put *228 on speed dial and use it daily or go back 2 days ago when I didn't know about this and the phone worked fine![]()
When in doubt, pull the battery out!
Yeah, I did mine yesterday, I didn't check it after I did it but I rebooted last night and now it says "0" so oh well.
From the talk we have heard if they are an area that is being converted they should be vzw towers by then end of next month
I just got Verizon to push me A "Hyrbrid PRL" which allows me to access Alltel towers over Verizon's! So far so good! Can maintain a phone call in my apt!!
PRL: 65048 was at 51540
I too notice my PRL resets to 0 after I do a battery pull. Running OS 5.0.0.230 on a 9530.
Current OS: 5.0.0.451
