Thread: Friends and Family plan

Has anyone seen this? I saw it for the first time on TV last night. Seems they have to keep up with T-mobile with the features.

Yea and it works when you log into your account you will see a thing about it, as long as you have I think 1400+ mins plan. to get the 10 Number and 900 plan to get the 5 Numbers

I might be wrong about the plan but you have to have a certain plan above to get it

I have the select plan 400 minutes. I have to pay 79.00 for that? Psh. phunk that.

u mean 69.99? i got the select 450 and the blackberry web and email shit and pay way to much

Haha yea we pay about 300+ a month so it's not cheap being with verizon

If you are a heavy user with a majority of "out of network" calls and you have a individual 1350 min plan, you might be able to step down to a 900 if a majority of your calls are to certain numbers.

the only reason im still with vzw and deal with them is because everybody i no, except my sister have vzw. im on my phone all the time and i sill only use about 30 of my minutes, the rest are on the network...it sucks playing 69.99 a month and still have 400 minutes left over each month

The friends and family plan really helps my family out. We use a ton of minutes each month, but typically to out of network callers.

Two things did happen for us though....

1. My parents live in another state and they have Alltel, so in the past if we called them it would use our minutes. Now since Verizon has brought out Alltel, our mobile to mobile are free. But, we still use a ton of minutes. Wow

2. There are several other numbers that we call that eat up our minutes (besides calling the folks), so f&f plan has come in rather nicely.

The downside is you have to have at least 1400 mins per month on the family plans, and when you add in my blackberry costs.... wow... the price really goes up.

I am beginning to think to cut corners, to do away with the landline or migrate it over to Voip. And on top of all of that, the economy isn't helping things out either.

All I can say is wow!!


PS Now if Verizon would only do like T-Mobile and on the family plans allow each line to have it's own set of numbers, now that would be GREAT!!

ha i went back to a regular phone and couldn't do i missed the BB PLUS it's also just not me on the line as you can tell i said WE pay lol

lol i no right, i would cry and wouldnt come out of my room for a week if i had to go back to a Motorola. and ya but 300 is still a lot for a f*****g phone(s)

The friends & family plan with the 5 and 10 numbers is due to the Alltel merger. This has been the Alltel my circle for a couple of years! I have been with CellOne which became Alltel which has become Verizon for 9 years! I have a 2 phone bus. plan with 10,000 mins for $50/mo which was grandfathered in from my Cellone days. This is why I have "cracked" the storm to use on Alltel, if I go get a new phone from them, I have to give this up. Even adding the BB package at 44 = 94/mo for my storm and my hubbies phone (he does not have a "smart" phone) my plan is still cheaper and has better minutes than anything I can get with VZ.

If you have a Google Voice account, you can add the number to your F&F and make free calls to anybody in your Google address book.
