Thread: Late..Again. Verizon FINALLY sends e-mail notification

I thought this was rather funny. I just got an e-mail from Verizon letting me know that the Blackberry Tour is finally here! REALLY!?!? I actually thought they just forgot to send the notifications. It would probably look better if they just forgot to send them rather inform their customers 2 days after they released it. Did anyone get this e-mail Sunday when it was officially released? So lets recap..Verizon lets users pre order the Tour which they made their customers who did order, wait 2 days to get them after they were made available in store. Also sending out an e-mail notification letting us know the Tour is now available, 2 days later after it was released. One day they will get it right.

Another possibility is that the emails are scheduled in a manner where the server doesn't have to email everyone who signed up at the same time to avoid spam block lists. I have had this sort of issue twice with an email address my parents use. Someone on the same server as them sent out spam email, and the spam blocking lists added the IP address. So when my parents tried to send an email, it was rebounded saying they were spam blocked. So spreading out the mailing list over a couple days makes it less likely for these lists to block the server.

Even better... Did you get the email on your tour! Ha!
