I thought that you were able to add a line by dialing *228 from the new handset
I always switched mine online or calling 611 :)

I have switched several phones, both dumb and smart. I find the easiest way to do it is on VZW's site. In your account there is a link to switch phones, and its real easy to do. I like it because you avoid the activation charges. After you do the switch online, then you do the *228 thing, and your set.Quote:

Its very easy to switch with my Verizon. Just log in, and then clicm activate phone enter info. Now all you have to do is dual *22899 from new handset and you're good to go. :)
