After you do what Hodges said (BTW Hodges, not stepping on you just 2nd perspective) you need to tell the people sending you text's that you are not getting to call AT&T and get a trouble ticket started. I know that the people in my area that were having trouble with AT&T did just that, it still took close to 4 months to resolve but it did get there.

Thanks guys for the help. I tried what you said Hodges and they said there are no errors so it is an AT&T thing. Now to convince a friend to actually call their network....lol

Your welcome that's what we are here for! Glad you were able to find the root Cuz of the problem. Just like jnepsa, I also have friends on AT&T and its always hit or miss when it comes to txting or mms. Especially if they are using an itoy errr.. Iphone excuse me.

One question. I lost my BB Tour and i dont have INS. Is there anyway i can get a reduced price on a phone?? as in some money off of Full Retail price ??

They don't offer any of those in the Certified Like New Program. However have you checked ebay or craigslist? Verizon use to offer a no insurance "save" option that would allow you to choose any phone at the 1yr contract price. But I am almost positive they did away with that once they opened the Certified Like New Program. I don't really seeing you getting any $$ off any other way tho.

They did start a new program not 100% how it works but its for those that didnt get insurance and their device is less than 12 months old, verizon will offer you a new device at a reduced cost once in a 12 month period. its worth asking about.

If you are out of contract, try going through Amazon's wireless site here . I needed a new phone (motorola barrage) for my hubby, we were out of contract and I would have had to pay $79.00 plus upgrade through VZW. I got it at Amazon's site for $29.00 plus upgrade, you might want to check them out.

Hope you still monitor this thread.You have helped me before. What is the deal with water damage?My daughter was pushed into a pool today. Left battery in the phone, and obviously the rest is history. LG Chocolate, less than a year old with Azurance (spelling) insurance.

If insurance will not cover the phone than how will suspending service affect my account. I dont want to pay for the line until she figures out how to get herself another phone.

Asurion will cover water damage. When you suspend your service you have two options, suspend with billing or without billing.. If you choose without billing what happens is Let's say u leave it suspended for 30days.. Verizon will tack those 30days on to the end if your contract. Hope that helps..

That's correct and depending on when you added insurance your deductible could only be $50.. If you got it after they changed there rates I believe its $80 now but don't quote me on that. I would give Vzw a call soon and have them transfer you to asurion.

I still creep and get emails from this thread when posted in, just takes me a lil longer now.. Hodges is right, but on the choc touch the most your deductible will be is $50. Should be $39, if you call before 11pm on a week day you should get it next day
