Verizon Wireless comes out on top in the PC Mag nationwide speedtest for mobile data. If you think that all 4G networks are created equal, PC Mag begs to differ, as they point out:
But you shouldn’t believe the hype: All “4G” is not the same. In a 21-city test across the United States, we found that Verizon’s new 4G LTE network is much faster than other mobile Web options, with speeds that often exceed home Internet connections.
The chart below shows Verizon 4G LTE pommeled the competition with superior average download speeds of 9.46 Mbps down, with max speeds up to over 37 Mbps down, and a 1.35 upload. Verizon showed to be the best in almost every region except for "rural America" where AT&T came out on top.
