There is no way to have the iPhone on Verizon unless they release it for Verizon. Since "there is an app for everything" on the iPhone, people can change their carriers on screen and such. But to my knowledge there is no way to get it to work.
Agree it was a fake. iPhone cannot operate on a CDMA network such as VZW or Sprint.
Chew on this one for a minute.
Mobiledia posted this a couple of weeks ago..
Verizon Wireless addressed the notion of the iPhone ever coming to its network, saying Apple is willing to work with the carrier under its fourth-generation, or 4G, network, which follows the same technology standard as AT&T's 4G plans..
Verizon's Chief Executive Ivan Seidenberg admitted Apple never seriously considered making a CDMA version of its popular iPhone because it didn't have as wide a distribution opportunity.
Apple, the maker of the popular smartphone, is conducting high-level discussions with the carrier to sell a version of the iPhone that would work on Verizon's network.
The Basking Ridge, N.J.-based carrier plans to test its soon-to-be-built 4G network this year and will roll it out commercially in at least 25 to 30 markets in 2010.

Here is what I have heard, since the acquisition of Altell, VZW has been making plans to open their network up to GSM capable devices. Rumor has it we will see it sometime late summer or early fall. Time will tell if this is true or another rumor.
well i guess we all have to wait then huh? only time will tell but i really do want the iphone for vzw but for now ill stick with my storm and see what happens in a couple months
I am not interested in the iphone. Why would I want a phone that has less features on it than the one I have? I cant even send an MMS message to my friends that have them.
