Thread: Verizon Pushing Updates Later Today

Verizon Wireless announced that they will be pushing OTA updates later today for the BlackBerry Curve 8530, Tour, and Bold devices. For you Storm and Storm2 owners, no mention made of any updates for your devices. Here is what Verizon sent out:

Verizon Wireless will have software updates available for the BlackBerry Bold 9650, BlackBerry Curve 8530 and BlackBerry Tour 9630 starting today at 6pm EST. These updates include software enhancements to all three devices. For more information about the updates and instructions on how to download please visit www.vzw.com/boldsupport, www.vzw.com/toursupport or www.vzw.com/curve8530 support depending on your device.

Looking over the PDFs for the devices, it does not go into any detail whether or not BlackBerry 6 will be part of the update for the BlackBerry Bold 9650.


UPDATE: The BlackBerry Tour 9630, and the BlackBerry Bold 9650 have now been officially updated to OS 5.0.0.975 and the BlackBerry Curve 8530 is now sitting at OS 5.0.0.973. Figures that the devices that helped get RIM back in the market get the least attention, How can a company survive by throwing loyal customers away? IDK, apparently RIM has some kind of magic wand.
