Thread: NHL Mobile From Verizon

Seems as though we all will have yet another icon pushed to our BB's from Verizon. Today Big Red has launched NHL Mobile and so far the supported devices are the 8530, 9530,9550,and the 9630. I myself am not much of a Hockey Fan, but from reading the features this app sounds promising. Here is a list of features:

LMAO... You are correct I had no idea. I have been watching the NBA playoffs and haven't been keeping up on Sportscenter.

That's a great question!! I am not 100% sure but I will ask my contact over at Big Red and find out for you I may not get back to you till tomorrow however.

as soon as they came out with the nfl app i was saying how they needed to come out with a hockey one. i'm glad i didn't have to wait long. this may be the first thing big red did right! a little late for round 1 but can't be too picky, right?

ok i just got the NFL Mobile pushed to my 9550, not that I care but thought I let you guys know

i don't see why it wouldn't work for next season, but maybe there will be a new version by then. hopefully this works better than score mobile, which doesn't update often enough and eats my battery like it's its job. i guess i'll find out tonight while i watch the pens smack the habs around a bit.

So my contact can't find anything in infoman about this app which is kinda odd. One would think that this will continue on next year. The NFL Mobile app is a 3yr deal it use to be with sprint so I would imagine its about the same for the NHL app. If I find out any more info I will be sure to post about it.

I downloaded via the link above and it came up with a different name on my blackberry. It says it is NHL Gamecenter 2010 not NHL Icetime 2010. Are they the same??

NHL GameCenter is the new version out for the upcoming 2010/2011 season. This is for all carriers, not just VZW. It also has a free and premium version available in App World. I guess last years version was a one and done deal.

Can anyone extract the CODs and send them my way? I live in Canada and it won't let me download the app from the site above or from appworld. I have a Torch if the CODs are specific for devices. BBM me at 231B157A if you have any idea how i can get the app. thanks!
