I get the same error. Why is that, anyone know?

If you open your native BB browser and then hit your BB menu > options > browser config > scroll down to browser ID > Does that say BB?

I was trying to open the link with my desk top, thinking I would enter my phone number there. That is where I got the error message. When I went to the site on my blackberry, it opened and installed fine.

    Dumb

I don't want this app, along with MOST the crap that Verizon has "pushed" to my phone. How do I delete these pushed apps permanently? I want to decide what is on my phone, since I am paying through the nose for it.

    Pushed Apps:
    BING
    STACKER
    SOCIAL BEAT
    SKYPE
    VCAST APPS
    BACKUP ASSISTANT
    NFL MOBILE

    Thanks

All of these apps are pushed to your phone threw service books. When the icon first shows up on your phone it is not installed nor taking up memory. All you would need to do is hide them and forget about them. Their is no way to stop them from being pushed to your phone that I know of at least.

There has to be a way to remove it. I, for one DO NOT appreciate the NFL krap on my device, nor do I support it. Plus, ever since this push was sent, not only my phone, but my boss' and my girlfriend's are all acting weird and locking up. Coincidence? IDK, but it sure seems fishy to me. I want it removed, or at least disabled permanently from my device.
Have you ever wondered why things intended to make our lives simpler keep getting more complicated to use?

It is only an icon link. I, also have no need for it, so I moved it to applications folder, and then "hid" it. If you were to click it, it would then load the app onto your phone...just hide it, and it's gone.

I know how to do all that, but the underlying point of this is; I REALLY do not appreciate this being forced onto my device. I may switch carriers over this. The NFL represents a lot of what is wrong in this country today. Laziness, delusions of grandeur, wasted time, giving young people the illusion that hard work is for suckers (just play football....), etc.
This, coupled with the FACT that my device has been acting weird, and freezing ever since this "just an icon" came up. This is also happening with my girlfriend's phone, and my boss' phone (all verizon, all storms of different OSs, all acting up since this push.)
Quite frankly, I'm considering going back to a dumb phone since this never happened with my old device.

Bugly...I was sure you were aware of how to do all that, but as other members read these posts and may NOT be aware, the instructions I posted were more for them. As far as your personal feelings, I can certainly respect those.

sorry bout the venting, but this really irritates me, I am paying a premium price for connectivity and have to put up with this garbage. Why doesn't big red realize there are those customers who might be insulted or even enraged by pushed content? They could give us a choice, such as; "there is a new application available for your device, it is free to install, do you wish to install this content?" That would at least give them information as to whether or not their customers want this kind of thing, rather than forcing them to either se it or "hide" it. ...And hiding it only dims the icon, it's not really gone. I WANT THIS B.S. OFF MY PHONE!!!!!!!!!!

Bugly, as what I consider a friend, i think maybe we should start a thread about pushed stuff instead of doing this in here, for people that like football and what not it makes it hard to read through here, only thing I can really say about VZW pushing apps is the fact that the application center only works about 20% of the time, so in order for customers to take advantage of anything it has to be pushed, also to date RIM has not provided a way for a carrier to control by person who gets pushed what, by phone model yes, but by PIN recognition no, unless you are on a BES in which the BES admin has that ability is it unfortunate yes, but if you switch carriers you will get alot of the same..

Bugly, you could just switch to T-Mobile, they don't push apps. :lmao:

Done venting. Just fed up with it.
If there was a way to remove it, it would be much more tolerable.
I personally despise the NFL and all it stands for, so it insults me that I am forced to carry it in my device.
