Ok I am going to try very hard to keep this as up to date as possible. If you catch a newer PRL then post it up and I will update the OP.
To check your current PRL dial #4357* and hit send

Hybrid PRL- 65133
To get the latest normal PRL dial *22899 from your verizon phone. To get the Hybrid you can try dialing the same most of the time you wont get it that way. Call vzw and ask for the update to the Hybrid PRL.

PRL= Preferred Roaming List.
Now if you are on VZW in mostly a VZW service area(ie-1XEV or 3G whatever your phone says) This wont make much difference to you, if you travel out of vzw area on 1X this is a list of towers that your phone will see as service providers when not on VZW's Network... Now this is all negated if you have a hybrid PRL (typically they begin with 65xxx) If you are on a hybrid you are typically an alltel convert customer. The reason you get this is because you are in an area that the alltel towers have not been turned to VZW yet, so you will see alltel and vzw towers as 1XEV or 3G. to get a hybrid you must call and have it pushed. A new hybrid PRL will greatly help you (most times) because each time it changes they are adding more towers that you will see as 1XEV or 3G. Hope this helps
