What is CPNI?
Your privacy is important to us.

In order to better serve your communications needs and to identify, offer and provide products and services to meet your requirements, we need your permission to share this information among our affiliates, agents and parent companies (including Vodafone) and their subsidiaries. The protection of your information is important to us, and we acknowledge that you have a right, and we have a duty, under federal and state law, to protect the confidentiality of your CPNI.

You have a right to keep your CPNI private by "opting out." Unless you provide us with notice that you wish to opt out, we will assume that you give us the right to share your CPNI with the authorized companies as described above. CPNI will not be shared with unrelated third parties.

Please be advised that if you do not opt out, your consent will remain valid until we receive your notice withdrawing it. You may withdraw your consent at any time; you may do so by calling us at 1-800-333-9956. Alternatively, you may call 1-800-922-0204 from 6am to 11pm to reach a Customer Service Representative who can process your opt out for you. Finally, you can also log onto Cell Phones,Smartphones,Mobile Cell Phone Plans - Verizon Wireless, and opt out through My Account.

Furthermore, note that opting out will not affect the status of the services you currently have with us. In addition, we can disclose your CPNI to comply with any laws, court order or subpoena, or to provide services to you pursuant to your Customer Agreement.

I personally dont want my information shared so I opted out. Is this something to be concerend about or is the standard operating proceddure?

I meant to ask JNepsa about this Rellims. I put my letter in my backpack and forgot about it....Good Question.

Customer Proprietary Network Information, just means they dont sell your info.. this is their quarterly 'let you know' type stuff.a

Yeah, I got the letter yesterday and immediately said I'm opting out. But that's just my natural paranoia.

Just a BTW on this too if you dont opt out it only authorizes VZW or Verizon INC to contact you about things they are running.. It would never be sold to CC companies or anything like that.. its more of them saying.. hey if we run a special or have special about adding lines or new Price plans can we call and ask you if you would want to look at them.

They can not adn will not willfully sell your info to other companies. There have been employees with in VZW that have done but they are terminated quickly. So in short, if you opt out cool, if you dont cool, either way it would only be 'Big Red' or one of their many companies calling you, never to sell, only to offer

These third party companies purchase rights from Verizon to search our phone records in order to collect data. This data is of course history concerning our accounts, anything concerning the data history. More or less these companies are looking at what we are interested in. Data Miners...Ha ha

No, not with this Mepascal, vzw doesnt sell our numbers ever. I never Opt out and receive 0 calls. The marketing calls come when an employee of vzw steals a call list and sells it for lots of cash to another company, then vzw sues them and it stops lol. This CPNI is strictly for VZW,VODA, and their direct subsidiaries
