can you get a storm 2 for $79 if you do the new every 2?

has anyone ever did the verizon new every two? i have a storm2 in hand that i ordered from verizon for $179...i keep getting verizon reps telling me that my "new every two" is on dec 15 2009 and if i wait i will get another $100 off...is that true? or once again verizon reps dont know what they are talking about. why would they sell this phone for $79? doesnt make since to me. they dont even give this price to the new verizon customer which i would have thought they would get a better deal.

Usually if it sounds to good to be true, it usually isnt.... Just my thoughts. I received an early upgrade email and the best price they would give me was $179. I have had 9 Storms and have been with VZW 8 years. Though ya never know....

To be sure, log into your "my verizon account" on Verizon's website and check your eligibility dates.

my date says dec 15 2009 online...i just find it strange verizon reps are telling me i can get another off $100 next month. i think i'm going to call back. i will wait for the storm2 if i can get it for $79. i'm so tempted to activate this storm2 though...

ITs not odd or to good to be true. with vzw if you are the primary line on the account you get a new every two credit or NE2 if you wait 20 months to upgrade. To be honest I get slightly tired of everyone calling BS on everything vzw reps say. Remember that reps get paid for what they can sell.. if I tell you in less than a month there will be a new droid out, but it releases after my quota is due do you think vzw will take pity on me like I did you? another thing to remember you average sales person doesnt frequent these boards as they can get all the info they need from the current (notice the work CURRENT) device training. The NE2 or new every 2 credit is widely known and discussed depending on your price plan and on your history. If you log in it will tell you, if you call CS they will tell you and if you stop at a store they can look up your account and tell you... Just remember that all these things that you all think vzw reps dont know, is it they dont know it, or they have a job to do and dont want to lose it...

thanks...i'm sending the storm2 back and reorder next month.

My new every 2 came up when the Storm 1 came out. I ended up paying $50.
