US Cellular Expands My Contacts Backup To Include Smartphones

Backing up, and restoring your contacts could not be simpler. That is if you are a US Cellular customer. Just a few days ago the carrier expanded their My Contacts Backup service to include smartphones.

My Contacts Backup allows you to perform a number of functions such as backup, transfer, manage, and edit contacts wirelessly. This a great solution for anyone who is not on a BES . You can also remotely import contacts from Outlook and Yahoo. If you are paranoid, or really just security conscious and worry about your phone being stolen, you can even remotely erase your contacts from your phone.

This is one killer service that US Cellular is offering. And you can't beat the price. It's free! It would be great to see RIM develop a service and application similar to this for it's customers. My Contacts Backup is available for the BlackBerry 8830, 8330, 8230, and 8130. For more informationa and to download MCB visit mycontactsbackup.uscellular.com.

You are not the only one. That is one thing I miss about having a "dumb"phone, Back Up Assistant was a GREAT service offered by Verizon.

This would make things a lot easier for the less tech savvy to use a BlackBerry.
