I run into some of the same issues with my stuff, but I have to agree with everyone else. That is a really nice looking theme.

The same stuff keeps me up at night too lol.

You'll have to play with the levels up and down to find the right amount, too much and it looks grainy, just the right amount smooths it out. I made gradient wallpapers and they always had similar banding issues...adding noise took care of it. I hope this helps.
i'll give it a try THANKS!!

16bit... so thats the magic number. THANK YOU

actually i do know a little about color banding and i still think it looks pretty dang cool.
LOL, thats funny, but seriously.. a rainbow overlay would look sooo cool. Thanks, you just gave me a great new theme to make

I have the 5.0 simulator... the leaked one. I dont have a storm, so i'll have to get some storm owners to test it for me.

What did i learn...Besides all the other bugs, keep gradients away from theme builder!!! :aargh4: And that's tough for me cause I use theme everywhere! :haha:.

Edit: I think its Theme Builders programing running something that still outputs the color settings on its graphics to match whatever it was pre 4.7.0.151. It is in a terrible need for an update, hopefully Plazmic 5.0 is coming soon!
Me too, I love gradients, it makes the icons look like they're glowing.
I CANT WAIT for plazmic 5.0!!!

My color might be off a bit but try this and see if it has the banding issues...if you want.

And I really like that theme, nicely done. If you ever do a tour one, my sister in law would love it.
I made it with paint.net, with the gradient button. Its half Pink and half transparent. I wanted it to be transparent so i could see the wallpaper through it a tiny bit. And then it looks like the button is glowing.

And your overlay looks alot better, I might just recolour the originals then make it more transparent. Thanks for the tip!

Yeppers.... it breaks down like this:

    1-bit = monochrome
    2-bit = 4 colors
    3-bit = 8 colors
    4-bit = 16 colors
    8-bit = 256 colors
    12-bit = 4096 colors
    15-bit = 32,768 colors
    16-bit = 65,536 colors
    18-bit = 261,144 colors
    24-bit = 16,777,216 colors
    32-bit (in display terms) = 16,777,216 colors + 8 bits of non-color data

True 32-bit would represent over 4.2 billion distinct colors.

(Now aren't you sorry you asked???? :laugh2

Storm themes are REALLY complicated to make... So once i get this one done, I'll make something manly for the guys out there.

Any suggestions? Its hard to pick out stuff that guys will like.

Maybe cars, beer, hot girls... ???
