..try it using BBFileScout; IIRC I had similar issues before switching to BBFileScout file manager.
i get this error message "net.rim.device.api.io.file.fileioexception [file not found]"...........any ideas?

could be another 191 thing. i did this on a previous os but can't do it now.on another note...the custom folders i made carried over to my new os when using the stock theme but when i use a custom theme and try to change the folder icons my custom ones aren't available. i have checked the folder and they are still there just not accessible with a custom theme.Quote:

RIM has managed to block file scout from modifying the system directories... I haven't been able to get this to work on the last few OS releases for my 9530.
..perhaps there is another filemanager that still works for this?
