Thread: How Do I Edit Icons in Plazmic with PS CS4?

OK so I want to edit the icons in Plazmic for my theme, in the "Theme The Application Icons Screen". I right click on an icon and then click on edit, Photoshop CS4 opens but nothing appears in it.
Is there a certain command I need to put in the preferences for launching Photoshop?
Or is there another way to get the icons out of Plazmic?

You want to edit the standard icons or place your own icons in. If it is the former then I usually copy all of the icons I want to a differnt folder to avoid overwriting them. If you copy this link it will take you to the standard icons for all devices.

C:\Program Files\Plazmic CDK 4.7\samples

This will take you where you want to go. Look around and you will find what you are looking for.

You can also go into Plazmic Theme Builder then go to Edit>Preferences>Applications then paste the location of the .exe file for photoshop/fireworks/illustrator for your "Images" application and paste the .exe for Composer for the "SVG" editor and then whenever you click on the name of the icon and click "EDIT" it will open it up in those applications. Hope this helps!

Let me start by saying I know nothing about theme building but I just wanted to say thank you to all the theme builders that chip on this site, when someone has a question about making one. It is so refreshing to see other developers willing to help and share their knowledge.

Right on Bryan, you speak great words of appreciation to those how know how to dazzle us with these great themes and I second what you say since I don't have the theme building desire since there are so many others more qualified producing some fine work :fing02:

I did this, but only added Photoshop and it would open PS but wouldn't load the image.
So I added the line for Composer, and now the images load in PS.
That's too strange, but atleast it's working now.
