Thread: 8120 Zen theme

Hi all,

New to this forum, but have been a blackberry user for many years.

I am hoping that the clever folk here have an easy answer to my question. Basically, I want to remove the little yellow envelope icon that appears on the homescreen when I have new emails.

I have made a number of themes with Plazmic whereby I have removed that item from the banner, but I have never been entirely happy with the themes largely because of the limitations of Plazmic theme builder.

Does anyone know of a way to remove the envelope from the default zen theme on an 8120 (without having to rebuild a theme that has it removed)?

It is a tricky question. Have you tried to set where you don't get any notifications for emails? That's my first thought....let's see what others have to say....

to be specific go to messages>options>general options> under display messages count set it to no.

that maybe can make the trick

Second we just set up a new 81xx forum and I would love it and I am sure are 81xx series members would love it if you have any themes to share

Thanks for the responses guys. The setting above stops the message display count but it doesn't stop the envelope appearing. That setting seems to stop the little number that appears with the envelope on the home screen, but the envelope continues to appear.

It's probably some sort of mental issue on my part, but I can't help but look at my emails when that little envelope appears. If it stopped appearing I wouldn't be compelled to look at it all the time. :crazy:

i hope they were able to help.could you lawman be able to do some themes for us pearl user's or share or show some for us that would be great i hope youre envelope has disapeard for you..
