Thread: ring SVG help

Ok I'm asking for assistance here...I had a great Simpsons ring theme laid out for the storm and it all worked until the updates. lol I have tried to recreate that theme (computer crashed so I lost original) but no matter what, everytime I try to load the original SVG file for the ring (included in software) it gives an error. :aargh4: Any ideas? I loved the look of the ring and would greatly appreciate any help given.

Could you provide us with the error you are getting? I'm afraid I won't be able to answer, but knowing what error you are getting may help you get an answer from someone that is a theme dev.

I'm sorry, didn't think about that lol I get the error every time I try to load the svg into theme maker. this is the error I get. Please note that I have not changed anything in the SVG code, this is the code that was included with theme maker...

SVG failed to import correctly.
Certain portions of the SVG may not be rendered correctly.
The SVG file: C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Theme Studio 5.0\samples\Themes\custom\Ring\ring.svg may not be rendered correctly for the following reasons:

Duration is not defined
Duration is not defined
Duration is not defined
etc

I think that means certain elements used in the creation of svg eg images etc are missing.

but wouldnt u think that the files coming with the software would be complete? I mean I have done nothing but try to open it in thm maker...

My old theme svg's won't work if I try to update them in the new Composer. I get the same thing. Unfortunately the only way I know to fix the problem is to select all the elements and then copy and paste into a new composer file. Maybe someone knows a better way. But I haven't found another remedy yet.

If you create a new composer file it will work again.

well unfortunately, the computer crashed so I lost my work, but all I did was change the SVG portions that showed the position of the icons. But now I am attempting to have the SVG that came with the software download load up in theme maker. I get an error everytime I try to do this tho...GRRRR!
