Thread: How do I make a hot spot?

I have tried sending pm to ppl on here and other sites, but no one has helped me. I am trying to figure out how to make a theme that you touch a "hot spot" on the home screen and it pops up some of the icons and when you touch it again it disappears. I know this can be done because i have seen several themes that do this, i just would like to make my own that fits my style. Plz plz plz help me...

What your trying to do is call a hidden dock and it can be complex. Check out ahazdesigns.com for a good start.

I was wondering if I could get help too.. I went to ahaz and it didnt help.. i believe it talked bout the hotspot workaround.. I just want to create a simple theme and when i click on the middle of the screen it will bring me to the bb menu.. like as if you hit the bb button.. i am new to making storm themes and this hotspot is a must need..

you will need to create this hotspot using composer, which is a part of the theme studio 5.0, open up composer and choose the screen resolution you are doing, in this case 360x480, then in the middle of the screed drag a square and and put it in the exact place where you want it as if it was the device screen, right click and select convert to button, then in the inspector panel under animation, select on activate launch blackberry apps menu, export your svg file and load it to theme builder and you are all set...
