    Telus customer service sucks

    Telsus customer service sucks

I have a storm 9530 and am know on my 4th swap unit. I have had continues problems with the keyboard and typing out emails a reports. Granted I am a high volume user and everyone may not have the experience that I am having but none the less I have had this ongoing problem. I have been to the stroe had the reinstall the software etc and have gone thru the swap process 4 times now!!! Let me tell you the TELUS Nightmare I am having. I just wanted them to give me a 9530 that was not refurbished figuring after 4 units it was time to try something else! But NO WAY! So they offered to give me a phone for $300 and of course a renewal of my contract to 3 years. Does anyone else see a problem with that? I am in my 11 ½ Month and have been dealing with this crap the whole time. Why would (or should) I have to pay for something I already paid for? To top it off I was in a TELUS store to get another swap unit because I have no choice and the REP said to me in front of other customers I should stop mooching off them and buy a new phone if I’m unhappy with it!! To top it all off I was talking to the loyalty department and the rep I talked to there said and I quote “Why should I apologize to your for something one of our 3rd party reps said to you in a store” umm are you kidding me? Did he really say that? I was in a TELUS store talking to a guy wearing a TELUS shirt in a store selling TELUS products!!!! My question is who is responsible then!!!!! Anyway I strongly urge a change. SO FRUSTRATED!

I was with Clearnet with years with no issues with either my bills, service, or customer service. I found them to be a light at the end of the tunnel compared to Bell. Then Telus aquired Clearnet and the problems started...first with over billing and then naturally progressing to customer service. I stuck with them until a few years ago for unknown reasons upon looking back. What finally did it was a 3 and a half hour phone call that started with a customer DISsatisfaction rep that ended with some VP of something (sounded like the same usless boob I started that whole experience with). Anyway, after realizing that I was going no where and getting nothing accomplished, I told them to cancel my service and that of my wife's. Well let me tell you, they did everything but bend ass over backwards to solve my issue.

I still cancelled service with Telus for the simple reason being why did they waste 3 and a half hours of my time for nothing, and then decide to solve ALL of my issues after I told them I wanted my service cancelled.

I will never go back to Telus, will not promote them in any way shape or form and will go out of my way when I hear of family or friends thnking of switching to Telus, and convince them not to.

My suggestion to you Gemmini is to bite the bullet, cancel your contract with Telus and go to another carrier. If you go to Bell, and discuss these issues with them and the reason your thinking of jumping ship to Bell, they may offer to pay the cancellation fees (has been done in the past) through incentives and givebacks in your new contract.

I had 3 Storms with various problems. After calling Telus tech support I was told that I had another defective phone. He told me that telus's policy was that if a customer has had 3 defective phones the 4th phone had to be a new phone. They will give the customer a new phone not a refurb. I went to my local Telus store with my defective phone and was told that no such policy exists. I called customer retention and they also said there was no such policy. They agree to give me $250 off the price of the Storm 2. So I ended up paying $350 for my new phone They also gave me a $50 credit for the next 3 months and reduced my plan by $3 for the next 3 years.
They replaced my original Storm with a refurb which I sold on Ebay for $250.0 US
So now I have a new Storm2 and I actually made money on the deal.

Funny same offer they gave to me..... My question WHY would I pay more than sign up price for a phone to replace the deffective one that should have worked in the first place?? On top of that stuck with them for another 3 years!!!! No way they should have at the very least upgraded you to the storm 2 at the new customer rate!!
