Thread: T-Mobile Cuts Prices on Bold 9700 and Curve 8520

Christmas in January? It almost seems like it. T-Mobile has slashed the prices for several BlackBerry, Android, and Windows Mobile phones. In any case, if you have been looking to pick up the new BlackBerry Bold 9700, the cost has gone from $200 to just $130. Which is quite a steal considering the device launched less than 3 months ago! Also in the price slashing, the BlackBerry Curve 8520 is now just $80. There's almost no reason not to get a new BlackBerry at that price. Though, I can't help but wonder if this could be a sign of something new coming soon.

I agree with you that it could be a sign of great things, but it could also be a sign that Tmo is struggling in the mobile world and trying to attract prospective customers.

Is that price for new customers only, getting a new two year agreement or existing customers to wanting to upgrade?? But my bet is on the new customer and new 2 year agreement... Just wondering...

I can just about guarantee that its for the new 2 year agreement..

Also, this definitely could be a sign that Tmobile is having issues. Hopefully not, especially for all those Tmo lovers out there..
