Thread: ESN swaps/swaps

I wasn't sure what to title this thread. My wife is getting a tour today i have a curve.
I used her upgrade for my curve. (luckily the guy says he's gonna let me give the curve back for a tour and some cash too).
She's gonna use my upgrade for the tour.


Has to do an esn swap from hers to mine. Then swap curve to tour.

Will i be ok? Won't lose anything? I am backing up apps and device on bbsak right now.

Can't say as I know very little about ESN swapping. Hopefully someone else with more knowledge about this can answer.

I know how it works with vzw not sure with sprint, on vzw you can do it all online, I would just go to a store or call in to make sure it gets done right

I had sprint, and its very easy online. I've done it a million times. All its doing is switching service from one device to the other - it won't mess with any of your apps or anything,but you will have to back up yer curve,and do a device swap with DM,to get everything on yer tour. just go to sprint.com pick the activate device link,and follow the prompts. Very easy.

as far as i know, sprint doesnt allow online esn swapping anymore. you need to call customer service from a phone that you arent swapping from/to. when you speak to someone.. they wil lask for your # or name. then tell them you'd like to an esn swap on your account.. they will ask the lines you're swapping to/from as well as the phones meid/esn DEC number.

shouldnt take any longer than 5 minutes total. you wont have any issues. make sure to have your account PIN handy just in case.
