Thread: Signature Picture not uploading

I can not get my sig photo to upload and just was curious if anyone else had this issue? Everytime I load the photo by browsing and hit the "Upload" button, it just disappears and the cursor returns to the beginning? This is a small thing, but nontheless it shouldn't be, and I have asked BBOS God on one occasion to look into this already with no results. Any ideas?

Yes. At the bottom of the sig edit screen is the option to upload a sig photo by url or by browsing on computer. When I browse and select then hit upload, the photos location or address just disappears and cursor returns to start position.

Have you tried uploading the pic to your photo hosting account and then using the direct link option? Some time that is what is needed for it to work.

That's a whole other issue that I'd asked to get some help on, if you mean my photo album, it won't accept photo's either. Just an empty frame shows, no photo can be seen when I add to my album.

Ok so you are taking your pic uploading it to photobucket or flickr etc then using the direct link code coping that into your upload spot on your sig line?

Mike let's run a test send me the pic you are trying to upload in email bmtenney@blackberryos.com let me upload it to my account and then I will give you the code to try, and let's see if that works.

Sorry for the lag in response time. Listen Bryan I accidentally got it to work by browsing and selecting THEN highlighting the photo location while it was inside the address bar and then hitting upload photo. Don't understand what the problem is still, shouldn't have to do that? But now my only problem is I can't upload photos to my album? I don't have the time to work on this now though, gotta go on a road trip today. I will revisit this soon and give you a shout when I need some help. And thanks, by the way. You're on it Bro! ha

1) I cannot load an avatar photo at all. The above description of what happened in my sig photo is now happening with the avatar and the sig.

2) Can't load any photos into my photo album. When I do try thru the browse method, the photo just shows up as a squre outline and nothing in it.

Sorry in the slow response time Mike There are some changes going on tonight in the server, so that might explain why you can't upload anything tonight? Not positive but I though I would mention it. If you come back online then PM me and we will try a couple of things and see if we can get it to work.

Hi Mike, I'm looking into your problem now. As Brian has stated, we are doing things for the new make over. It's really going to be hard right now to pin point the exact problem since we are moving from one layout to another one. It could either be a problem on the old layout or it could be a problem on the new layout. I do see that you have an avatar uploaded and it shows in your profile. I'll keep an eye on this and once we are finally done with the make over, see if the problem still arises.

I just added your profile picture as your avatar for a test and it shows up with no problem.

Thanks for the response. As I was just recently telling Bryan in a pm, I'm now not able to even add smilies to my posts? It might just be some simple operator error, I find myself quoting Homer Simpson none too often "D'oh!" ha. As for the avatar, it was so weird that it wouldn't load for me and I just gave up completey, then next time I logged in...There it was! A Miracle! ha But now it's back to not working. So yeah, I agree it's probably due in part to the revamping, I can sit back and let you folks work your magic, and then we can go from there. Besides, no one is gonna suffer if my avatar isn't up......not much anyway. haha So thanks..... :684:
