Thread: Your take on this idea.

As an owner of both, you might be surprised that I voted no. I love that this site is BB specific so that I can get all the information I need about my Storm without sifting thru a mess of Iphone chatter. An iPhone is what it is. (I love it) but to me, my BB is like my old Landrover, finicky, tempermental and unbelievable in the things it is capable of! It is unique and in the hands of an amazing hybrid, it is an business tool like no other.

Yeah another site as in not this one.

For example, Crackberry.com is for BB users but they also own theiphoneblog.com which is for iPhone users.

The question was whether to have one site to include both iPhone and Blackberry information or to create sites like Crackberry did. And I think the masses have spoken.

A Blackberry site is a Blackberry site. An iPhone site is an iPhone site, a Windows Mobile site is a Windows Mobile site.
I vote no...not because of any particular allegence to a brand. I'd likely have gone with an iPhone had it been available on VZW - AT&T just doesn't cut it in my neck of the woods.
It just seems simpler to have seperate sites to search/drill down to the needed information.
At this stage of the game, what could an iPhone user expect to find in such a site? As I understand it, one can't even change the battery, let alone mess with an operating system. So, other than selling iPhone applications, I see no real benefit to comingling the communities/forums.
