Thread: "Promo Codes" List?

Hi, I know this thread is supposed to go somewhere else, and I encourage the Powers-to-be to please move it to it's proper home, but below is a post I left in Feedback's "What would you like to see here at BBOS?" a few days ago and didn't get any response. I was the only one to respond since God started the thread so I figured he hasn't been around to check it in awhile? Please let me know if I made a mistake by bringing this request to the attention of others in this way, or a better place to have reposted. Thanks!

So you're not sure what would go into it. Do you mean literal content, or go into the start of the list and constant maintenance of it?

the latter how intensive it would be to keep up, but hey you never get anywhere without asking right?

Yes you are right, on both topics. Don't know what all would have to go into the upkeep? I just signed up for a Peekahoo trial and got an 18% off promo code for the purchase. Not sure if it's device/PIN specific or not, but I would copy n paste it into a post on that list stating the date I got it etc. As for it being a feature no one else has, that's my point exactly. I really like BBOS and would LOVE to see more traffic over here. Guess it's just an idea for the fellas to kick around (you included of course) and see if it's do-able.

i like the idea mike and members could post codes that they have found to add to the list.. it could be great and would def get some action going around here if it is feasible

I will work on developing a list for our members. The maintanence of such a list will be extensive but we will try to make it happen. The amount of BlackBerry software, hardware and accessory companies out there is a rather large amount and to obtain promo codes from all of them will take time, please be patient. Keep checking back, I do not have a time frame when this will be completed.

Also from the actual company's perspective, maybe they would be willing to contribute some codes as a means to advertise? I know they do this on their own site already, but sometimes people don't go looking for codes cuz they just don't know about em. This would help you maintain the list maybe? Anyway, hope it works, and thanks for the consideration.

Is it possible to modify post #1 and list the promo codes there as they come in?

Other members can post the info and perhaps a mod (or someone) can update the 1st post as needed? Sorry i don't know the proper workings of the thread as to who does what.

I like that idea but I too don't know what goes into the workings so I'm leaving it up to the pro's to see if it's possible. Thanks though, hopefully we will see soon.
