I need help in understanding the linkback system. I just got a link back email and it shows where the linkback is located "
http://www.blackberryos.com/forums/showthread.?t=21102#linkbacks" and when I click on it I get blank page. This happens every time I get a linkback email. Can you help me understand what is going on?
PS: I tried send this as a messahe to the forum admin but I always get message that box is full.

I see, because you are subscribed to the thread it is notifying you when a linkback it made to that thread. Linkbacks are just a way for different sites to link to each other and give each other credit, which also boasts SEO (so we are told).
Anyway, I'll look into disabling those linkback notifications from coming to you. Thanks for posting us about this.
Why is the linkback always blank when I click on the hyperlink? Also, I did not get any other email telling me that there was a response so if I disable linkback (which I don't know how to do) I will not get any notififications of responses to BBOS responses.
Because the site the linkback is from only uses RSS which creates only a temp link. This is usually filtered out eventually.
I don't understand what you are trying to tell me about RSS. Why would someone want a linkback if it is always going to be blank.
To get their link on our site, therefore giving their site a higher rating in SEO. Then when people click on the link they are directed to their site in which they make revenue off of ads.Quote:
