I've always like a more modern look. But what I would focus on is the menus. I feel like your main "tabbed" menu could use some work with some nice animations and maybe some more web 2.0 interactions and changes. I love this site and support it 100% but I would love to see a more "catered to the individual" look. Remember it's the early bird that gets the worm and if you guys could hit web 3.0 or make a reach for it before anyone else I can see it as being huge for you guys.

Smaller header so you can see more content sooner. Even on my sort-high res. monitor I still have to scroll to get an idea of what the post is.
I love this site as well! I spend way to much time on this, as I am sure a lot of people do as well.
For starters, a new logo might be nice. The one on here now just seems like it was done on Microsoft Word. Since the logo is being changed then how about a different slogan to go with it? Maybe, BBOS "Keep your blackberry up to date", "Extremely informative", "Welcome home", or "Not just news, but an experience". Stuff like that.
The search bar looks like an add, maybe it could be made more visible, so that it stands out. How about keeping all the adds on the side so that all the information is centered?
Some sort of notification at the "new posts" tab would be cool. For example, say you left a reply on a post, maybe there could be a visual sort of notification let you know that some one re-replied to you. Different color scheme, perhaps.
I'll post other things if I think of anything. Kinda late right now and I'm just getting back from work, pretty tired. Excited to see what other ideas we come up with and what they final product will look like.
Definitely A new "Bam" type logo..Maybe a black/Red background and a little Style w/the tabs..Otherwise, ::bbos:: is like my 2nd part time job..LOL
Put a live chat box in the side bar, so everybody can BS while we surf, lol
Well it's great now, but a more stylish and modern view will do... Just don't put anything like facebook (messenger, twit this, whatever)... It will make people lazy to come here and read.. plus it's kinda annoying to have those apps...
and maybe add something like a hot thread or something... when a thread is getting replied like once in every minute or like 50 replies in 12 hours, it should be considered as a hot thread...
A live chat box is also nice but I think it will be misused by some people to ask this and that.... and BBoS-ers are too much to fit in the chat box =p
I like the way you have the long list of latest posts on the right side of the page, however on the main page it is usually considerably shorter. I'd like to see the longer list on the main page as well. Also as someone mentioned above, the ability to be notified if someone responds to your post. I really hate to use Big Red as an example, but their forum gives you the option of being notified when someone responds to a thread that you are following. That being said, you guys ROCK!
