Thread: Mobile site

Today I have Been away from my pc so I have been using the mobile site. I have not really needed to use mobile much before but now that I am using it (as I type this) I am finding things that are rather annoying with in the mobile site. One of them being that pictures do not show up. Not even a link if we wanted to see them. And using my storm 2 the links are to small to use or press on. So I am going to put time into the mobile site. The first thing I am going to do is create another mobile version but for touchscreen users. The text nd links will be larger so it is easier to touch and navigate through. I will also work on getting the pictures:link taken care of. Have a link so u can see the picture instead.

I am hoping that I can get this taken care of anx finished by the new year. I know the storm versions won't take long to do.

I have been saying that. Remember where you told me that those things needed to wait lol. Yes it leaves a bit to be desired.

The old one you were very limited to what you could do. My main focus now is the mobile site.

Yes! I can't wait. I use the mobile Site everyday on my Storm 2. Thank you Brett.

Sounds great. I have been away for 7 days and have another 9 to go. Keeping up through it is almost impossible.

very good news, I'm happy to see the mobile site will get a touch screen version and pictures will display, very good!

Is it possible to set it up so that enter will post? Like bbm.

And I dont know if thats possible I just know if I am on some mobile sites in a dialogue box I can hit enter and it goes.

What if you need to start another paragraph? Sounds like a lot of people would be sending partial messages. Don't know if thats a good idea for a mobile forum.

That is true. I would be happy if I could see pictures while on the mobile site. I can live with having to press submit.

Just like anything else if you hit caps then enter it will move to new paragraph

C'mon guys all we need is to be able to see images and that's it.

Have u think what a PITA will it be to hit caps and enter to go to a different paragraph. And for the record I have yet to see a mobile forum that allow sending post by just hitting enter...

Hence the reason my question was it even possible.. The only way things ever become great are by suggestions, and remember on anything but an email from your phone (i.e. bbm sms im) all require you to hit caps to start a new paragraph so really it would be just second nature, and IMHO if it is even possible would make things alot easier than typing then pressing outside a dialogue box on a touch screen device, remember you have a physical keyboard. Not a touch screen which is what Brett was basing the change on
