Thread: Anyone know why IE makes the site look horrible?

If you havent, take a look at the site while using Internet Explorer. Anyone know why IE makes the site all off?

theres a codeing error. i cant find it but i wrote on a post similar to this. but basically. by the way it looks (as far as centering) theres something missing ill pm you with more

It's all in the coding. IE is a bit tricky. I have someone who could look at it if you are interested in trying to get it to look right across all browsers.

Im talking with vbulletin right now about it right now. When I get home I'll look more indepth into this.

I understand what you are saying. But in my opinion it should look consistent across all browsers like other sites. Makes it look more profressional plus most people use IE these days. Anyway when you get back look into it. If you need help with it let me know.

Oh I agree.

It was fine before the Elecite banner got put at the top, that knocked the whole top off. Can it be moved to the right of the BBOS logo.

There's been a problem with the viewing in IE before the banner. I agree with jlevy73 and blindman4556 that its a codeing error. The problemsbeen around for about 3 weeks on and off. http://www.blackberryos.com/forums/feedback/453-everything-center.html

I had to reload back to IE6 upgraded to IE7 to get it back to normal. If you load IE8 your screwed, there is a compatability issue, and a setting in IE8 that fubar's the site...Good news is, that it screws up the forum's at our rivals site even worse, at least it did for me..

Ah maybe that is the problem as I am using IE8. So on IE7 it works ok?

no ie 7 is still fubar

So I was talkign to people from vbulletin.com and they all say the site shows up normal with IE8. No problems. hmm.

Humm I never noticed a problem till the BBOS logo showed up about a week ago towards the bottom with the note to sign up or sign in to make it go away, but i've only been here about a month (i think) "time flies when your having fun" :-) and i just may of never paid attention

I am going to be taking this weekend to trying to fix everything. I will get to the bottom of this! ha.

Hey BBOS, its working im on IE right now and the logo is in the right postion!

Gone now along with the ad at the top, site back to the way it looked a week ago, PERFECT (at least on IE6 on my old home computer)

By the way I posted a reply in one of the featured threads. Can you not edit your post on those threads or has something changed? Sometimes I type to fast want to go back and correct a spelin eror after I hit post
