We reported earlier that BlackBerry World had been down for many users. The cause is still uncertain as to what the underlying issue was, but BlackBerry has tweeted that they have identified and solved the problem. As well, full access is expected to return to users throughout the day.
The popular notification app by BellShare, BeBuzz 10 Pro, has been updated with new features and fixes. It's nice to see this update come shortly after the release. Much needed improvements! See the full changelog below:

Searing Media have just let us know that their Parrot app has been updated to version 1.0.4. Parrot is a FREE voice recording, playing, and sharing app for BlackBerry 10. They've included a ton of new features and fixes in this recent update:

As always, the final steps before a new phone hits the consumer, is the FCC approval process. The BlackBerry Q10 has just arrived at the FCC, and with pre-orders in place, the device is set to launch at the end of this month on multiple carriers. We'll keep you updated when approval is final. BlackBerry recently posted a video showing a very cool feature for hand-writing Chinese characters on BBM. I know writing out words on a screen isn't new, but it seems to work rather well with the Chinese language. I'm guessing that the purpose of writing the characters by hand, is so you can be much faster and more accurate than typing
Legacy BlackBerry users have just gotten a little update for Facebook v4 in the BlackBerry Beta Zone. The version is 184.108.40.206 and could be the last beta release for the Facebook app before the gold version is ready. See full changelog below:
