A few days ago, we let you know of Polarbit's Reckless Racing.

It seems that they have another racing app called Reckless Getaway. This game is your typical "outrun the cops" racing game.

Who’d a thought robbing the bank would be the easy part?

Now comes the real challenge - to escape with your hard-earned loot and the fuzz hot at your heels!

Weave in and out of oncoming traffic; dodge, outrun or ram pursuing police cars and just generally crash, smash and thrash your way through 16 varied levels.

Let’s face it: beating someone across the finishing line is a lot of fun, but not nearly as much fun as tackling them into oncoming traffic to watch chaos ensue

Accuweather for BlackBerry has finally been updated. This update (v1.3) brings support for OS7 devices. This was my favorite weather app when I had my BlackBerry Bold 9780. I'm quite excited to see it available now for my 9900, but with several other BlackBerry 7 weather apps being launched weeks ago, I'm not sure if many will revert to this app.

    AccuWeather for BlackBerry includes:

    • Local forecasts for all global locations. Updated every hour, forecasts include twelve hours of accurate, localized forecasts along with twelve days of detailed, day-by-day, weather forecasts and information – all available in English, French, Italian, German, or Spanish.
    • AccuWeather trademarked WeatherAlarms™ display on days forecasted for high amounts of snow, ice, rain, wind, and thunderstorms.
    • Push alerts for severe weather watches and warnings (U.S. only), such as snow and ice, rain and thunderstorms, high winds, and tornadoes. With push alerts, users receive an automatic notice that there is a severe weather alert for the last location searched for in the application. Users have the option of selecting a quiet time for warnings choosing whether the phone is quiet, makes an audible tone, illuminates, or vibrates when alerted.
    • Users can customize which current weather conditions are displayed including wind and wind gust speed, wind direction, humidity percentages, UV index, visibility, pressure, dew point, and cloud cover.
    • Users can choose to receive a daily weather forecast in their message inbox and/or a five-day forecast integrated in your calendar.
    • Multiple weather views including videos, and zoomable animated radar and satellite with Bing maps.
    • Special weather information for travelers, including a hotel finder and airport travel delay notices.
    • Special lifestyle weather and health forecasts, such as conditions for specific outdoor activities and sports, including lawn mowing, dog walking, and golfing, and health-related weather forecasts, such as UV forecasts and weather conditions for people suffering from allergies.
    • Customizable, continually updated Snapshot View with the ability to access a range of features in one easy-to-access display screen, including current conditions and weather warnings for up to 20 of your saved locations.
    • Option of choosing between metric or English units.
    • Colorful and easy-to-use interface for a simple and intuitive navigation.

Great announcement today! BBM 6.0.1 has made its way out of the Beta Zone, and into App World !! For everyone patiently waiting, you should start to see it appearing in App World. If at first you are not seeing the update try resetting your App World cache by holding down the Alt key + rstrst. It will take some time for the update to hit everyone so be patient. Good things come to those who wait!

Here are some new things you can expect in BBM version 6.0.1 taken from the Inside BlackBerry Blog:

    • Explore BBM-connected Apps
BBM users will now be able to pull up “Explore BBM-connected Apps” from a menu in the BBM Contacts screen. This action is designed to automate a BlackBerry App World™ storefront search for “BBM” by redirecting users to a list of up to 25 of the most popular BBM-connected apps available.

    • Sharing App content with your BBM Contacts is easier
Many BBM users have told us that they love sharing app content with their BBM friends who use the same app, but they also wanted to share content with their BBM friends who don’t have the app. BBM v6.0.1 is designed so that you can now share app-specific content with your BBM contacts regardless of whether your contact has the app installed.

For example, foursquare users may want to share a tip or badge they’ve recently earned, or Huffington Post users may want to share a breaking news story with their BBM contacts. Your friends or contacts will also be prompted to download the BBM-connected app if they don’t have it installed.

    • Include BBM v5.0 users in application invites
Now you can include even more friends in the fun! You can now invite BBM v5.0 & BBM v6.0 contacts to join in the fun and share BBM-connected app experiences. Your BBM v5.0 contacts will be prompted to download BBM v6.0 in order to access BBM-connected apps. For users new to BBM v6.0 and BBM-connected apps, here’s a quick rundown of some benefits to upgrading.

    • Inviting BBM friends to experience your favorite apps
Chatting with BBM contacts from inside BBM-connected apps
Discovering apps and updates through friends by browsing their recent profile updates of their contacts profile
Happy updating! Be sure to let us know how you like the new BBM. Download it here:

With the recent Native BlackBerry IM clients updates, some of you were questioning why AIM was not included in the update.

Well, it seems the reasoning behind this is that RIM-built AOL Instant Messenger has been discontinued. Don't worry, you'll still be able to get AIM on your BlackBerry, as AOL has built their own app.

Beginning October 28, 2011, the AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) for BlackBerry® smartphones application which you may currently be using is being discontinued and will no longer be supported. You may continue to access AIM service for your BlackBerry smartphone through a new AIM for BlackBerry® application built by AOL, which includes new capabilities such as letting you stay connected with your AIM Buddies and Facebook Chat friends while on the go.

To update to AIM for BlackBerry® built by AOL, please visit: Free AIM - Download AIM - Free Apps from BlackBerry App World and follow the on-screen instructions. To remove your current version of the AOL Instant Messenger for BlackBerry application, please refer to the support article at KB26171-Discontinuation of AOL Instant Messenger for BlackBerry smartphones

Please remember to install the new AIM for BlackBerry® application built by AOL before October 28, 2011 in order to continue sending and receiving AIM instant messages on your BlackBerry smartphone.

    Thank you,

    Research In Motion Limited

T-Mobile users can now rejoice as Torch 9810 dummy units are making their way into retailers hands. Looks like we are right on target for the rumored November 9th launch of the Torch 9810. Yes the picture is a bit rough, but it does appear to be branded by T-Mobile. Anyone planning on getting this from T-Mobile?

Many of the PlayBook games found in App World are very low in graphics or seem to not be rich in content.

Reckless Racing is a great overhead racing game with rich graphics & a humorous aspect to the game-play.

Roaring engines, squealing tires and amazing graphics! We know y’all want it and we guarantee that Reckless Racing delivers.

Reckless Racing mixes old-school racing gameplay with state of the art graphics and multiplayer features to brew a mean gumbo that takes the genre to a whole ‘nother level. Perfectly balanced controls lets you skid, slip and slide through some of the most beautiful tracks ever seen on a handheld device – leaving nothing but mud-splattered opponents, skidmarks and chaos in your wake.

Today RIM has officially announced the release of the P’9981, designed by Porsche Design. Initially no one had any idea about what the deal was with this phone, and there were even some leaked photos of the device that popped up a few weeks back. It had to be the ugliest BlackBerry device to date, but we slowly started receiving more and more news regarding the deemed mystery device, and it was even said to be a Bold 9980. Well that was wrong! However, earlier we did report that it was to be released at about this time.

Here is the official press release from RIM:

Looks like the PlayBook will be getting its first ever torrent client! The guys over at Behance Network have done an amazing job with this app. I have seen quite a few apps in the the PlayBook's App World that are simply rushed and unfinished. This one appears to have a nice polished user interface. I actually cant wait to get my hands on this as it looks real solid. Take a look at this video walk-through from BBIN

*Video removed at request of RIM due to copyright violation*

Fresh off DevCon 2011 RIM has been pushing its self for mobile innovation, and has embraced a number of new technologies. This is great news as we all are looking forward to new things. There have been a couple of new videos that have surfaced that show how RIM perceives the future of mobile computing. The first video basically shows what RIM thinks could be the future of mobile device management. I like the layout of the futuristic phone, but every time I see a really thin glass like phone I think about how many times I would break that thing. The video integration option looks pretty sweet.
