If you've ever wanted to see what your BlackBerry Bold 9900 would look like if taken apart, you'll love this video. DirectFix recently posted a video on YouTube of the teardown of a Rogers-branded Bold 9900. It's amazing to see how simple it is to take apart, but I wouldn't recommend doing so, as it may void your warranty.

Good news Vodafone users, the Torch 9860 is now available for purchase. Customers can get the phone free when they opt into monthly contracts starting at £36. The monthly service includes 1,000 minutes, unlimited text, and 500MB of data. This is a pretty good deal considering the type phone you are getting. The Torch 9860 is a full touch BlackBerry boasting with the largest display found on a BlackBerry to date. Its has a 1.2 GHz processor and runs on the new BlackBerry 7 operating system.

Rogers Wireless not wanting to be left out of the announcement loop, comfirmed pricing today on the new BlackBerry Curve 9360. It will be available for $349.99 off contract and $49.99 on a 3 year contract. If you don't want the 3 year commitment you can pick one up for $149 on a 1 year contract or $99 on a 2 year contract. No offical release date has been announced, but sources say it will be available for back to school.

Earlier this week, BlackBerry Desktop Manager 7 was released in Beta Zone. Many wished that the beta would have been released to a larger audience. Well, some members of OpenSourceBB were able to stripped down the app to no longer need keycode.

Officers with the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau in Mississauga ON Canada, are on the lookout for 2,700 stolen BlackBerry Torch 9810 smartphones. The 9810s, stolen from a warehouse, are estimated to be worth $1.1 million CA.

The heist occurred between August 19th, and August 20th, and suspect identity's are unknown at this time. Packaged on three shipping skids, the Torch 9810s are described as being 900 white, and 1800 grey smartphones.

IMEI and PIN numbers for the stolen devices have been recorded, and authorities would like to warn the public that being found in possession of a stolen smartphone is a criminal offense.

This update brings minor fixes & performance improvements.

IMO Instant Messenger received a small update today to v1.0.4. Not many changes are evident, but the capabilities of sending voice chats has been added.

According to reports RIM's new phones scheduled to be launched in 2012, will have the ability to run android apps. These sources that have asked to remain anonymous, have stated that RIM's new QNX based phones slated for next year, will be Android compatible. This is good news as we patiently await the arrival of the super phone.

BlackBerry Traffic received a significant update this week to v2.0.2.20. This update brings OS 7 support.

BlackBerry Traffic is a great native turn-by-turn navigation app that I think is a must have for any BlackBerry user who travels alot.

If you're curious to how soon Rogers will be releasing the recently announced BlackBerry Curve 9360, you'll be happy to know that they've stated it will be available in time for "Back To School" season.
