Update: After attempting a few games with GPS Fox Hunt and encountering a few stumbling blocks, the BBOS, Hammerdown Monday, GPS Fox Hunt giveaway, will be making a change in the game mechanics.
While still being an excellent short term game, Fox Hunt, at present is unsuitable for long running games. While I am constantly needing to reboot my device for beta apps, updates, theme development, and so on, Fox Hunt does not survive a reboot. However, this app is still a fun app, I have used it succsefully with a couple of drivers. Please do not leave negative reviews of Fox Hunt on App World, if you do have constructive criticism for the developer, email it to Scott Powell
. This app has a ton of potential, let's help him get it there.
The GPS tracking portion of the game changes to include Google Latitude, which requires installing Google Maps, and signing into your Google account. Please pay attention to your security settings, and read all EULA's (End User License Agreement) very carefully.
The second change is how to join the game. In Google Latitude, click the menu button and choose add friends from the menu. Choose enter email from the list, and enter the email you recieve from me via twitter.
When you follow @BlackBerryOS and @adperdue_ on twitter, or if you are already following, tweet "@adperdue_ I'm Gonna Stalk You! #BBOSFoxHunt". I will follow back and DM my Google Latitude info to you, use it to send a friend request from Latitude.
Thats it, Hands. Lookin forward to seeing y'all on the road!
