Gaming on the PlayBook has just got a little nasty with Gameloft's newest title. 9mm has a Max Payne like, slow motion bullet-time feel with a dip of Grand Theft Auto crudeness.

For as long as I can remember, BlackBerry users on Twitter have argued over which mobile client is the best all-around. Although there are many different Twitter apps to choose from, the top three most used and well-known have been Twitter for BlackBerry, UberSocial for BlackBerry and SocialScope. These three are the ones that have incurred more debates than I care to count.

I’ve primarily used Twitter for BlackBerry over the last year and a half and have been quite content with it. Over the last 6 months or so, I had heard grumblings about how UberSocial is “ easily the best app for Twitter.” SocialScope users, on the other hand, would boast about their app being so good and so exclusive, that you needed to be “invited” to use it (actually true about the invitation). All this trash talk was just asking for a good head-to-head... to-head battle to determine which app is the best, once and for all.

We needed a good review to compare and contrast all three of these Twitter clients and that's exactly what I attempted to do. I will be going pretty in depth in terms of pros and cons about all three of these clients so this battle will actually be a couple of parts. Part I will focus squarely on User Interface and the look of the apps while Part II will be more focused on Performance and Notifications.

So without further ado, here is the Twitter Client on BlackBerry Battle Royale between T4BB, UberSocial and SocialScope Part I.

With college seniors graduating and entering the "real world" this summer, it's important to stay organized and efficient this time of year. In a recent study conducted by Research In Motion targeting the youth market (ages 18-24), 80 percent of respondents said they use their mobile phone to keep track of day-to-day life. Ninety-two (92) percent agreed that a smartphone would keep them organized in 2012.

Smartphones allow youth to stay on track in a variety of ways: Sixty-seven (67) percent use calendars and scheduling apps to keep them on deadline, 62 percent count on GPS tools to help navigate while travelling, and 53 percent rely on social media and instant messaging to connect with friends when arranging get-togethers.

As the data demonstrates, youth are heavily relying on smartphones to stay organized. Here are a few tips on how to stay productive, particularly upon entering the post-college life:

On Day 1 of that New Job/Internship - Transitioning to the real world can at times be tough, but BlackBerry makes it easier. With the BlackBerry Calendar, you can keep calls, meetings and events all in one place. It syncs seamlessly with BlackBerry contacts and email, so you’ll never miss a beat. When taking notes in a meeting or editing on the fly, use Docs to Go on BlackBerry smartphones and the BlackBerry PlayBook. Looking for that perfect job opportunity? Use LinkedIn for BlackBerry to connect with those in your desired field and boost your professional network.

During a Weekend Getaway - Post-college life means no homework on weekends, making it easier to take those vacations you’ve been dreaming of the last four years! BlackBerry Travel allows you to plan and manage travel activities. The app puts all travel updates in one place, and if there are any changes to a train/plane/bus reservation, the app notifies users immediately. On a road trip? BlackBerry Traffic, with hands-free turn-by-turn directions, gives you your ETA, as well as the most efficient travel routes based on traffic conditions. If looking for an impromptu meal while on the road, check out the BBM-connected app Poynt, which finds businesses, restaurants, movies, people and even gas based on location.

To Keep in Touch - With your college friends spread out across the country, it's important to find ways to connect. With BBM and Facebook and Twitter for BlackBerry, you can stay in touch with your buddies anytime, anywhere. To spice it up, try video chat for the BlackBerry PlayBook to talk to friends face-to-face.

The survey, which polled 1,004 randomly selected 18-24 year old Americans, was conducted by Vision Critical on behalf of Research In Motion.

Ingram Micro Inc., the worlds largest technology distributor, has reached a deal with RIM to distribute the BlackBerry PlayBook to re-seller partners in the UK.

It has been a bit of a rocky road between consumers and RIM's BlackBerry PlayBook, but BlackBerry has still maintained a very strong presence in the business market. RIM's BlackBerry devices are still the choice among many organizations in which security and mobile communications are paramount.

The BlackBerry PlayBook has been a step up in many organizations ability to be more productive via cloud services. RIM's UK managing director Stephen Bates said that “Our agreement with Ingram Micro will allow us to broaden and enhance our distribution of the BlackBerry PlayBook. We are leveraging our strengths in communications, social integration and productivity with their strengths in unified communications, software solutions and overall channel reach,” This is no little deal Ingram Micro, has local sales offices in 26 countries, has over 105 distribution centers worldwide, represents over 1,300 vendors, and is the only global broad-based IT distributor in Asia. This kind exposure and distribution is exactly what RIM needs for the PlayBook.

Ingram Micro also has a dedicated team that is focused on unified communications, and cloud business development managers. This makes it an ideal fit for the PlayBook as it fits in well with Microsoft Office 365. “Ingram Micro is once again providing a solid, expansive offering to meet the needs of resellers, Our continued growth in the telecommunications segment and the ongoing convergence of software and mobile technologies, enhanced with the inclusion of Microsoft Office capabilities on BlackBerry smartphones and the addition of the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet to our product portfolio, is driving BlackBerry as a strong platform for mobile users of Microsoft Office 365.” said Matt Sanderson, managing director at Ingram Micro.

RIM is looking to push the PlayBook even more into its enterprise market and this new move will do just that. The PlayBook is expected to become even more desirable later on this year as it will be compatible with RIM's much anticipated, BB 10 platform.
