A few weeks ago we gave you a report with details from the BlackBerry Innovation Forum 2011 in Washington, DC. Unfortunately we were not able to snag any pictures from the event that showcased some of the new features of the upcoming PlayBook OS 2.0. However the folks over at blackberrycool were able to capture a few shots of the native email contacts and calendar. This confirms what we already reported and promises a huge change in the way we will be able to utilize the PlayBook.

The first beta release of version 2.0 of the BlackBerry Native SDK for the BlackBerry PlayBook is available and ready for testing. Key features of this latest release include:

Machinarium, the award-winning adventure game is now available on BlackBerry App World for the BlackBerry PlayBook. Developed by indie studio Amanita Design, Machinarium is an old, rusty and legendary city populated only by robots of various forms and functions.
