    Blackberry Blackhawk "prototype" picture!

    *picture not accurate*

In the past few days we've been hearing talks about a new Blackberry device codenamed "Blackhawk". Many people have shot this rumor down but now according to our BlackberryOS Ninja, it is confirmed and DOES exist. It does feature OLED, full slide out qwerty keyboard as well as touchscreen. It is also to be rumored as the "Storm Slider" that was being talked about. The picture above is not the best picture and was an early prototype. Our Ninja stated that even though the picture is not the most current one the "Blackhawk" still looks pretty close to the one above. RIM had planned on doing a "slider" phone in the past and stopped testing/production on it until now. It is slated to be released late 2010. Personally, I don't know how I feel about a Blackberry slider phone.

Update : member CJohnson has shown that the image that was posted which was claimed to be the prototype of an early staged Blackhawk looked very very similar to the Samsung i730 and makes me believe as well that the picture is not accurate. We are still sticking with our confirmation that the Blackhawk WILL look similar to that with the slide out keyboard and will still be out late 2010.

looks like it might be interesting as long as the thickness is the same as a storm...i wouldn't want it any thicker.by the time it comes out i'll just take a storm3.

That's an old picture. I've had that for a while. Why is BBos claiming it as their own? I first saw it on CB i believe.

It was actually on twitter. It's actually a picture I GOT that leaked out.

Edit: Josh can vouch for me sending this picture to him a while back. He was gonna post it for me, but I told him not too. Not good.

Well, i'm going to post the pic i have somewhere and i'm not going to use the watermarked BBos version. I will mention you claim you obtained it. I suggest watermarking all your pics in case they leak.

Agreed. But I've heard the device is fake and it's real. So it's up in the air.

It was yours? Ok. I'll remove the watermark. Was unaware of that.
