Sometimes it pays to be awake at this time of day. There are new details about the 9100 also known as the Striker. Well not any more. It has a shiny new name. The BlackBerry Essex. It's official and not just a rumored device any more. This is the updated version of the Tour, with wifi! Now the question everyone is asking, when the heck can I get my hands on it? Thanks to salomondrin at CrackBerry for the info.
Hopefully not for a while as that would really piss off a lot existing Tour users.
So the question is, why would they release a device when a better model of it is right behind the corner. Another fantastic marketing move from the brilliant minds of RIM, not.
9100 would be a GSM device wouldn't it?
I bet it will be quite a while before this sees the light of day. Think about how long the onyx and storm 2 have been known devices and we're still waiting on them.Quote:

Striker is the 3G pearl, suretype device and looks like a BB bastard child.
PS: Look hard enough and you'll find it listed on a few vendors sites, say...I dunno...Telenav.
