9670 and 8980 show their faces, again.
Since RIM finally decided to announce the arrival of the 9650 and 9100 we are left with three devices to now talk about, two of them being the 9670 and the 8980, previously the 8910. A member over at CrackBerry has posted an image containing both devices. The pictures show the 8980 running 5.0.0.541 with the 9670 running 6.0.0.20. I personally still believe the 9670 (the clam shell) is a horrible look while the 8980 is just another Curve style device. While one is a similar design and the other being new, BlackBerry is still behind in the times when it comes to style/design. The only thing I like about the clam shell is the front display, other then that I do not find the device to be very appealing. Check the discussion thread for more pics of the devices.

Another Picture of the 9670 claimshell surfaces.

Cellular Guru got their hands on this one and again we see OS 6.0. I don't understand why RIM is even considering releasing another claimshell. The Pearl Flip 82xx failed horribly. Do they really think this one will do any better? RIM needs to push forward with the times, not bring us back. I really hope BlackBerry 6 is all it's being hyped up to be.

More pictures have come in from Cellular Guru now showing the battery and memory. I must say the memory does look impressive but I still feel the same about this device.
