Thread: InPulse Smartwatch Almost Here!

After two months of silence from Allerta (the makers of the inPulse Smartwatch) they have finally posted something on their Tumblr page. The post doesnt have alot of information, but it promises some good things to come; such as news, images, video, and also SOMETHING for all the pre-order customers. Here is the post right here:

Long time no blog. We have some amazing news that we’re going to be sharing very shortly. Images, video and something that all you pre-order customers will be extremely happy about. inPulse is almost here.

Definitely some good news all around. Hopefully we will be able to see some video on how the watch is going to perform day-to-day. The watch pairs to your Blackberry smartphone via Bluetooth 2.0 and gives previews of SMS, email, and phonecalls. There is also the RSS feed icon that might link to a RSS feed app (maybe viigo??). Speculations aside, I'll reserve my judgement till I can actually play with it. Does look like a beuty of a watch though. Now lets hear from you guys in the discussion thread! What do you guys think about the inPulse smartwatch and why?

I really like the idea I just wish it didn't have a rubberized wrist band. I know it's not a final product but from the pic it just doesn't appeal to me looks wise.

Odds are it will be interchangable. The BASIC will be rubber wrist band, but I'm sure they'll offer upgrades.. Granted I love the idea, I wish it didn't cost as much as the phone (if not more in some cases).

I agree it's a great idea. If they make it with a metal wrist band then count me in

Are people still waiting for their pre-orders? Was it ever released?


Was just thinking last night on how convenient this thing would be on vibrate. Half the time i miss calls and texts because i cant feel my device dancing in coat pocket, or i just have it sitting next to me and the music is too loud.

Man I could sure see going for this now..........

Right, the implementation just sort of dropped of the map.

Im not sure I would want to wear that thing. It reminds me of those calculator watches back in the 90's.

I loved the little beeps they made every time you hit a button. It was so Star Treckish.

How about the smartwatch being just like Duck Tracy's watch???

I would walk around school like a boss, with that thing.
