If it's a slider, it's not the Storm3. Storm is known for its SurePress and full touchscreen tech, it's what people associate with the Storm. A slider device would definitely go by another name.

What I really want is *more* *speed*. Just last night I showed my wife with her droid precisely why I'm paying so much attention to new phones. A better browser would help, but doesn't make up for the Storm's deficiencies.
I was so disappointed when the S2 wasn't closer to it's competition. I've come to really appreciate BBs (this Storm was my first), and I don't really want to switch to Android. I'm one of those weirdos who actually really likes the clicky screen. All the same, it's gonna be real hard to resist the siren song of a VZW Nexus One...

I have to ask, and I hear people saying what you say alot.. but I have 28 apps 4 themes on my phones and usually over 100 emails at any given time... and my phone is fast, the only thing that really lacks on it is the browser... what is slow on your phone? The only time my phone slows down is when i install something new and forget to reboot and it drains my memory, but even rebooting on .451 is fast as hell

Have to agree with jnespa with this one. I also recieve over a 100 emails in the course of a day, am running 16 apps, 3 themes, and I have no issues with the speed of the phone. with the .509 hybrid, my bootup time is nerar 3 minutes and memory drain is a thing of the past. I'm using the storm 1 and yes, the browser is slow. I easily fixed that with downloading opera mini 5 beta2 which has addressed my concerns with the browser speed.

Having used a bb for the past 10 years, I can honestly say I won't be switching to a droid or anything else for that matter. Everyone seems to forget that the bb was and is built for the proffessional user for business. Yes, everyone and their brother has one now, and RIM I think has done a tremendous job at accomondating the average user, but to this day, still remain true to the real purpose of the bb.

That being said, yes, some improvements can be made. particularly to the browser. But as far as I have seen, for the professional business user, there is no equal to the bb on the market today.

    Just my 2 cents
