I do hope that Rodgers gets the Storm 2 9520 earlier than December....I wasn't caught up by the Storm 2 hype until recently and all the new reviews and videos gave a closer look.....I'm psyched for it now... :laugh2:
I will be buying a Rodgers branded North American 9520 as soon as possible so I can use it on AT&TI wish the US would've just stuck with basically the rest of the world and implemented a 2100 MHz HSDPA/UMTS 3G network instead of always having to be the odd country out from everyone else in the world.....now I have to wait longer :aargh4:
Rogers still runs on the 850mhz band not the 2100 mhz. If they did have hte 2100mhz band my 8900 would be 3G instead of EDGE.
Most likely they can't open it up yet due to the restrictions. My guess is that when bell and telus open up hspa rogers will get the 2100mhz band. That is also when all the new carriers are going to be opening up in canada as well also offering 2100 mhz
I was reading in my URmagazine that i get from rogers that thier hspa will be 21mbs just like bell and telus'

I'm talking about the United States having 2100 MHz, not Canada. I'm aware that Rodgers doesn't use the 2100 MHz frequency, if they did then they would get the same 9520 that Vodafone UK and the rest of Europe get, not a North American version. This is why I'm saying I have to wait longer because when Rodgers gets the 9520 it will be a North American version that will support 850/1900 MHz HSDPA (AKA 850/1900 MHz 3G) which is what AT&T (my carrier) AND Rodgers uses for its 3G band....so basically what I'm saying is that when Rodgers gets the 9520 (Since AT&T will not) THEN I will be able to get one that will run 3G on AT&T![]()
