Rogers First to 21Mbps HSPA+
It seems like Rogers has beat other carriers and are the first carrier in North America to start rolling out the 21Mbps HSPA+ speed. This is more than double the speed that is currently the max at 7.2Mbps. Rogers stated that they will "progressively increase" the download speeds starting in August. The Greater Toronto Area will most likely be the first one to notice the speed differences. Other cities are not far behind with the statement from Rogers which says they'll "expand quickly over the coming months". It will eventually be expanded to the entire country of Canada. South Americas AT&T is rumored to pass on HSPA+ and go straight to the long awaited LTE. So my fellow users in North America don't be too sad.
