    DDPB sideload error message

Following through the detailed instructions for using DDPB to sideload apps onto my PlayBook, generates the following error message:

"Error: Bar file does not exist or not a file or I cannot read it: Fxxxxx" when I select the 'connect' option in the DDPB screen.

I went ahead and selected a downloaded .bar file (10000 Free Books+Reader -- already downloaded from BBOS Top 50 Apps site) selected its little check box and retried,,,but continue to be unable to get past the 'Connect' function to continue to 'Install'............

I would appreciate a clue as to what to do to get past this stumbling block.

    Thanks..........

Unfortunately I can't relate to this error. However I can suggest that you try the Chrome Pluggin called BB10\Playbook Manager. I believe it's simpler to use and just better.

Try restarting the computer and the device and then try again - I had the same issue before and restarting both seemed to fix the problem - hope this helps

----------------- Thanks for the suggestion. I tried the DDPB sideload after restarting my laptop and PlayBook ( & putting the PlayBook back into development mode after the restart) and continue to get the same error message.----I'm still looking for a solution................

Have you tried the Chrome plugin that CeeXTwo suggested? It works really well.

No, I have not yet tried the Chrome plug-in as I really didn't want to download Chrome onto my laptop just to support this plug-in. I will if it comes down to it, but there are numerous reviews that support the DDPB sideload and I will continue to seek a clue as to what I need to do to make it work for me for a while longer.

    THANKS for responding.......................

I'm a Chrome user myself. Def worth installing it for these types of purposes. For me, I can never have too many web browsers installed.
