As BBSuperAbuser pointed out, it sounds like you need to update Java.
So, does it look like we are going to have to start sideloading to be able to get skype, instagram, etc... ? I thought it was all going to be BB native apps.
Can i sideload on my Z10 using the same procedures?
Yes, you can. We have a updated guide here for BlackBerry 10... http://www.blackberryos.com/blackber...-using-pc.html
well written and easy to follow. i did as instructed and got the kindle app running on my playbook; even downloaded a book. when i closed the app there was no icon on my playbook; therefore no way to open the app. repeated the entire process with the same result. any suggestions as to what is going wrong?
I think i followed the instructions as given and tried to sideload the Kindle app. During the loading process i was presented with the option of opening the app as soon as the sideload was completed. i choose to have it open. it open went the sideload was completed and i then went to the kindle site and downloaded a book which i then opened and began reading. when i closed the app i noticed that there was no icon with which to re-open the app. more concerning is that when i tried to download a regular app i could no longer get any app to give me a start-up icon. i am no longer able to add any apps to my machine since i sideloaded the kindle app. IS THERE ANY WAY OF UNLOADING THE KINDLE APP. IS THERE ANY WAY OF RETURNING MY PLAYBOOK TO ITS SETUP BEFORE THE KINDLE ADDITION SO THAT I CAN ADD REGULAR APP?
