I am getting the Incorrect IP or Password error. I have followed all the steps, I have read though the posts and tried other people suggestion (updating java, changing password, making sure the IP is correct), but I still get the error.

Side note, I don't know if this is related but I am unable to download anything from the App World as well. When I try to download anything it will appear in My World with a spinning green circle stuck for hours.
PS. I got the Playbook 2 days ago, so I am still a noob.
There are a few things that could be going on. First have you rebooted your PlayBook? Second can you browse the internet? Third have you turned on development mode? If you cannot browse the internet make sure that your wireless router is working correctly it may warrant a reboot.
I have rebooted. I can browse the internet, use the youtube (PB app), send and receive emails. I have turned on the DM and made sure the IP and Password are correct.
When you click on the "person" icon that shows that Dev mode is enabled what IP address is it giving you?

I am new to playbook and wish to install as you superbly quote above.
Could you possibly clarify.. The DDPB Installer and the JRE, are these to be downloaded to the Playbook or to transfer from my pc.
You quote in section 3 " Connect playbook to PC " so I am not sure if to download to playbook or pc.

Bought a Playbook yesterday and allowed it to update the OS (to v 2.1.0.1032) immediately.
When I try to upload android apps I too get the "Incorrect IP or Password error". I am pretty sure I am doing everything OK and so is it down to the OS update (which I gather was only released recently) or is there another explanation?

The Ip matches the one on the security page but when I click on the man there are two addresses, the first one matches that on the security page, the other is quite different. Neither work!
I have explored this further with the Playbook disconnected from my PC and then only a single ip address appears on the man icon. All four numbers differ from that on the security page and you cannot apparently change the first two on that page.

he instalado el programa y va perfecto , pero se me queda buscando la ubicacion por gps, es algun problema , ha alguien le ha ocurrido.
