move your .bar files to a file on the desktop. Then browse again.

    Hello chrisv and welcome to

Here is a screen shot I just took 5 mins ago from my computer so it may help us come up with an answer that will solve your issue.

Does the screen look like this on your computer?

chrisy, you BlackBerry PlayBook IP address is incorrect as the DDPB software is showing you that message.

Your IP address is 169.254.1.5 which is incorrect, it should be 169.254.0.1

Also, make sure your password is exactly the same.

Let me know what happens when you correct this.

    Thank you.

yeah, I changed it from the default in an attempt to try to resolve the problem. It's now the default 169.254.0.1, the password is correct and I still have the same problem.

Shut down DDPB, and unplug the BlackBerry PlayBook and replug the USB cable back into the USB port in the computer, restart DDPB.

(make sure that the PlayBook IP still shows 169.254.0.1) Let me know the outcome, and thank you.

You can go to Security, then press Password, where it says Enable Password, turn Off.

    Disable Password.

Then return to Use Development Mode, turn On, and enter your New password, Confirm new password again.

Now you have a new password.

Make sure your are entering the same password as you are getting when enabled developer mode. Also verify the address by clicking on the little man icon.

I'm sure everyone has been asking where to find .BAR files for the BlackBerry PlayBook.

There are many applications that will work for the BlackBerry PlayBook, they can be native PlayBook installs, or via an emulator, such as a launcher which will run several non-QNX applications on the BlackBerry PlayBook, but also, please keep in mind that some of those applications are paid apps.

Obviously, I cannot post such links as most of us know it is against rules.

Hopefully, I will be able to post an all-in-one thread, only after I speak with my team members.

If you have any further questions, I will try to respond to them as soon as possible.

    Thank you.
